Beginner Pottery Class

Earthen-textured pottery bowls

An Intro to Air-Dry Clay

2 1/2 hours - No prior experience needed.

$35 (includes set of clay tools, molding bowl, & embroidery needle that students get to keep) along with 2 projects made in class. Bring a rolling pin if you have one. Class can be a little messy – dress accordingly or bring a smock. Molding clay by hand is a great way to ease into the new year and connect to your creative self. In this class, you will learn how to work with air dry clay by creating and embellishing paper clay bowls and beads with organic, earthen textures. Mold and shape one bowl in class, and embellish a second bowl with stitching, wire, acrylic paints, rubber stamps and handmade beads. If you have a rolling pin, please bring it. All other materials and tools provided, as well as detailed instructions for you to take with your creations.
